- Not to be confused with Flicky.
The Flickey[1] (フリキー[2] Furikī?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass produced Flicky-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance[]
The Flickey is a blue bird-based Badnik based on the Flicky birds that appear throughout the series, with a trail of spiked balls following behind them as well. They are mostly dark blue with a yellow beak and feet. They also have circles on their eyes that are colored white, as well as gray colored spiked balls.
Overview[]
The Flickeys make their only appearance in Sonic Advance 2, where they can be found in the level Techno Base. The Flickeys will try to jump on the surface of the stage to try to hit their enemies with its tail, which is composed of spiked balls. The Flickeys can be easily defeated via any attack method, causing them to release an Animal in the process.

IDW Publishing[]
In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing, several Flickeys and other Badniks helped defended the Egg Base Delta against Knuckles, Vector, Espio, and Charmy when they broke into the city and began attacking them (due to the heroes thinking that Dr. Eggman and his Badniks were the ones who stole their relic). However, once Dr. Eggman informs Knuckles and Team Chaotix that he had nothing to do with stealing their relic, the heroes would then stop attacking the Flickeys and other Badniks before proceeding to leave Egg Base Delta.[3]
Sometime later, the Flickeys were among the many Badniks that attended Orbot and Cubot's Winter Jam reality show.[4]
Trivia[]
- The Flickeys' spiked balls follow them in the same manner that the Chirps follow Flicky in the Flicky arcade game.
