The Flashers Mk. II have a rotund navy body with a red face each. They also have two gray spring-like legs on either side of their bodies with yellow bases. At the top of each of their bodies are what is seemingly a lightbulb.
Overview[]
In Sonic Mania, and its expansion Sonic Mania Plus, the Flashers Mk. II appear as enemies in both Acts of Titanic Monarch Zone. In gameplay, they use their two spring-like legs to walk back and forth on floors, walls and ceilings by rotating their bodies. When a Flasher Mk. II is approached by a playable character, it will stop up and charge up electrical energies in its bulb before flashing for a few seconds while dispensing electrical waves to the side, thereby damaging playable characters that are standing too close to it. If the player is equipped with a Lightning Shield however, this attack is ineffective.
A Spin Attack-related move will be enough to defeat this enemy. Also, upon their destruction, they release an Animal.
Powers and abilities[]
The Flashers Mk. II are capable of fastening onto and climbing vertical surfaces. They can also charge up electricity in their bulbs, before dispensing it as an electrical force-field.
