The Flamer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is an Orbinaut-based Badnik variant created by Dr. Eggman.
Appearance[]
In terms of appearance, the Flamers have an orb-shaped yellow and black body with only their blue eyes as facial features. Orbiting them are four yellow and black hemisphere torches that spew flames.
History[]
The Flamers first appeared in the Arid Sands Zone as a part of the Midesta Egg Army's foot soldiers, where they attacked the Freedom Fighters until the Desert Raiders came and helped drive them off. More Flamers were later patrolling the Midesta Egg Army's base where they caught the Freedom Fighter groups infiltrating the base, but were swiftly destroyed. One even used a Flamer's remains as a torch.[1][2]
Powers and abilities[]

The Flamers are capable of levitation, though their main abilities lie in the units which they can hold in orbit around them. These units and spew intense flames.[1][2]
Weakness[]
Like lesser models in the Badnik Horde, the Flamers are physically weak. Also, they cannot withstand their own flames.[2]
