The Flame Legion is a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It was one of the two splintered factions of the Dark Legion as a result of a power struggle between Lien-Da and Remington, with the Flame Legion remaining loyal to the former.
History[]
The two factions later formed a temporary alliance when Dr. Finitevus made Knuckles the Echidna into the Chaos-demigod Enerjak as opposed to either of them. Their weapons proved ineffective against Enerjak, who used his powers to strip both sides of their cybernetic enhancements. The majority of the Flame Legion remained under Lien-Da's leadership and went with her to form an alliance with Dr. Eggman and his Eggman Empire, while the Frost Legion allowed themselves to be sent to Albion to form a society with the other surviving Echidnas. As members of the Eggman Empire, they became the Dark Egg Legion, under the command of Dimitri.[1][2][3]
