Fire Dunk[1][2] (ファイヤーダンク Faiyādanku?) is a Power Formation maneuver used by Team Sonic in Sonic Heroes. When using this technique, Knuckles the Echidna grabs his teammates Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower and fires them as projectiles.

When performing Fire Dunk, Knuckles jumps into the air and grabs either Sonic or Tails while they are in spinball form in his hands. Knuckles then smacks his teammate as a projectile diagonally towards the ground, with such force that the teammate turns into a fireball and creates an explosion upon impact that damage everything in the vicinity. This allows the player to damage enemies, break down doors and destroy obstacles from above.

To perform this technique in gameplay, Team Sonic must be in Power Formation and have at least one other teammate present or the move will fail. The player then has to press the action button (Square/XboxX.png/SNNBGAMECUBEDISCO.png) during a jump to fire a teammate. When used near targets, the thrown teammates will automatically home in on them. Additionally, the Fire Dunk can be used repeatedly as long as the teammates can return to Knuckles to be re-launched.
