The Final Weapon is a large robot that resembles a light gray egg in shape. It has Dr. Robotnik's face, complete with his brown mustache and pink nose. It also has big gray hands with orange spikes on them. These hands are separate from the rest of the body. Its back also has several missile launchers mounted on it. The Final Weapon also has two floating hand-like objects with three laser cannons on each of them. In the intro of The Final Fight, it also wears a large, red cape on its back.

Features and abilities[]

The Final Weapon possesses several weapons. It is equipped with laser cannons, while its nose can be turned into a flamethrower. Its torso also has many small cannons concealed within it that can shoot small gray balls. Its missile launchers also allows it to fire destructive missiles. Though not seen very often, the Final Weapon can also hide its head inside its torso to protect itself from damage.

History[]

Sonic 3D Blast[]

In Sonic 3D Blast, Dr. Robotnik used the Final Weapon to fight Sonic in The Final Fight. However, the hedgehog came out victorious, destroying the Final Weapon in the process.

Battle[]

The Final Weapon is the boss of The Final Fight in Sonic 3D Blast, and the eighth and last boss overall. It is fought with Sonic the Hedgehog.

Boss guide[]

The arena where the Final Weapon is fought in is a pitch-black void in the original Mega Drive version, whereas it is more of a hidden factory room in the Saturn/PC versions. The player has only six Rings to protect themself from the Final Weapon's attacks.

The fight against the Final Weapon starts with it being located at the northwestern section of the area. From there, it will move its laser cannons they they point at Sonic. Then, it will fire small, blue lasers in one direction. The player can avoid these lasers by Spin Jumping or by moving to a safe place. After that, Sonic will be able to hit the Final Weapon with a Spin Jump. After this, a bridge will appear to take the player to the next phase.

In the second phase, the Final Weapon turns its nose into a flamethrower and will use it to fire a trail of flame. These flames will follow Sonic, though they do not last for long. After the fire turns off, the Final Weapon will fire another one to continue the fight. After firing its flames three times, the Final Weapon will move into the battle arena so that Sonic can attack it. After this, a bridge will appear to take the player to the next phase.

The third phase takes place in a rectangular area with two rows and eight columns. The Final Weapon will put its hands slightly above the arena and slowly follow Sonic. After some time, one of its hands will fall down in an attempt to crush Sonic. After three tries, the Final Weapon's hands will go to their opposite sides and to one row each. They will then slide to the other side. The player needs to jump to avoid being attacked by the hands. After this, Sonic will be able to hit the Final Weapon with a Spin Jump, and a bridge will appear to take the player to the next phase.

The fourth phase involves the Final Weapon using its missile launcher to launch six missiles in an attempt to damage Sonic. These will fall in random places. The player can predict where will they fall by looking at their shadows. When all the missiles have fallen into the arena, the Final Weapon will get near the battle arena so that Sonic can attack it. After that, a bridge will appear to take the player to the next phase.

The fifth and final phase takes place in an U-shaped area, where the Final Weapon will use its torso to fire many bouncing balls to damage Sonic. Sonic can stay in one of the corners to avoid being hit. Sonic will later be able to hit the Final Weapon with a Spin Jump. A bridge will then take the player back to the first phase.

From here, the fight against the Final Weapon will repeat from the first phase. When the player gets to the fifth phase again and hits the Final Weapon, the fight will end. In total, Sonic needs to hit the Final Weapon ten times to defeat it. Upon defeating the Final Weapon, the player will be treated to the good ending, where Sonic has freed Flicky Island from Dr. Robotnik for good.

Trivia[]

  • If the player takes too long to cross the bridge after hitting the Final Weapon, then the floor will explode, making them lose a Life.
