The research facility[1] (研究所[2] Kenkyūjo?) is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a building used by Tails to do all of his research and experiments at.

Sonic Jump[]
In Sonic Jump, Tails called Sonic, telling him that Dr. Eggman was causing trouble with the Chaos Emeralds involved. However, his phone line broke up, but not before he could inform the hedgehog that he had to head over to his research facility.[1] As Sonic reached to the facility, Eggman had already captured Tails, and escaped with him in his helicopter, forcing Sonic to chase after them.
At one point, Sonic woke up in the research facility after Tails and Knuckles discovered and saved him from falling in the sky.[3] After explaining that all the Chaos Emeralds being scattered around during the explosion in Eggman's space satelite, he then rushed out to find them.[4] Only managing to find six of the seven Chaos Emeralds, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles in the research facility wondered if Eggman had it as they headed to space.[5] At the end of an adventure, Sonic returned to the research facility, informing Tails and Knuckles that he had the last Chaos Emerald, while also noting that Eggman had disappeared.[6]
