Hocke-Wulf[1] (ホッケウルフ[2] Hokke Urufu?), also known as Focke-Wulf, is one of the secondary antagonists and the first boss in Tails' Skypatrol. He is an anthropomorphic wolf and one of the three henchmen of Witchcart.
History[]

Tails' Skypatrol[]
In Tails' Skypatrol, along with Bearenger and Carrottia, Hocke-Wulf was one of three henchmen of Witchcart, who was threatening to transform inhabitants of the island into crystals. He was later defeated by Miles "Tails" Prower.
Personality[]
Hocke-Wulf has been described as a giggling fiend.[1]
In the IDW comics, Hocke-Wulf acts as a mean-spirited bully who enjoys tormenting creatures who are smaller and weaker than him. Hocke-Wulf is slightly crazy and constantly giggles. Despite his giggly nature, he also has a temper and will become angry and violent if he is pushed far enough. Hocke-Wulf is arrogant, believing himself to be very smart. However, he is actually rather dimwitted, getting a metaphor wrong and accidentally trapping himself by running without looking where he is going. Hocke-Wulf also fears his boss, Witchcart, and will quickly obey her orders when she gets angry.[3]
Powers and abilities[]
Hocke-Wulf is durable enough to withstand a Spin Attack from Sonic, although not without pain.[3]

Enemies[]
Battle[]
Hocke-Wulf is featured as the first boss of the game after the player reaches the end of Rail Canyon. He pilots a flying, yellow motorbike, while he tosses mines, which float in midair in certain patterns.
Boss guide[]
If Tails tosses his Boomering into a mine, it shatters into four tiny bombs, scattering in different directions. Blowing up all four bombs with Tails' Boomering gives a hundred points each, or the player can drop the mine on Hocke-Wulf by using the Boomering. Like other bosses, the player has to land twenty hits to defeat Hocke-Wulf or toss him into the ground four times.

Archie Comics[]
In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, Hocke-Wulf is referred to as Falke Wulf. In this media, he is a part of the Witchcarters, a trio of mobian thugs controlled by Wendy Naugus against their will. His first name, according to Ian Flynn, was changed from its original translation of "Focke-Wulf" because it sounded too similar to a certain curse word.[4]

Flying Off the Rails[]
Hocke-Wulf would come to Flicky Island with Witchcart and the other Witchcaters. They then conquered the island and Witchcart put them to work capturing the island's Flickies so Witchcart could use them for her diabolical plans. However, Tails and Sonic the Hedgehog would also come to Flicky Island on vacation and find out what they were up to. Sonic impulsively went to battle the Witchcarters and overwhelmed them, but was captured when Witchcart zapped him from behind with her wand, trapping him in crytsal. She then ordered Hocke-Wulf and his cohorts to get back to work. The Witchcarters then split up and Hocke-Wulf went to Spring Stadium and continued capturing Flickies using his hover-bike, until Tails confronted him and pulled him off his bike. Hocke-Wulf then summoned his bike to save him by whistling and prepared to attack Tails with a mine, but this then gave Tails the idea to have four Flickies sing, causing his whistling-controlled bike to go out of control until he fell off of it. Hocke-Wulf then got mad and charged at Tails, only for Tails to step out of the way, leaving Hocke-Wulf to charge into a pit filled with springs and bounce around helplessly.[3]
