The Death Pod is a character that appears in the Sonic Underground television series. It is a mass-produced robot drone created by Dr. Robotnik.

Appearance

The Death Pods are dark blue robots that resemble aircrafts. They are also armed with several cannons.

History

TV series

Season one

The Sonic Underground once faced a Death Pod, which had been deployed by Dr. Robotnik in order to slow down their progress and ensure they did not arrive at Anays before his traps were set. After failing to escape it, the Sonic Underground tried to fight it, but it proved to tough to defeat with their Medallions. Manic however, managed to destroy it by deflecting its laser blasts back at it with his drums' cymbal.

Three more Death Pods would attack the Sonic Underground at Robotnik's museum after they retrieved the Four Royal Hedgehog Goblets. Using the same tricks as before however, Manic managed to destroy the Death Pods.

Powers and abilities

Death Pods are capable of flight and can shoot explosive lasers out of their cannons. They also come equipped with homing missiles and infrared vision for detecting enemies.

Death Pods are surprisingly durable, being able to withstand laser blasts without a scratch and emerge from the center of a landslide undamaged.
