The Hive is a location that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. It is a massive golden structure floating in the Weird Bit of the Special Zone, which is home to the bees. It is ruled by the Queen Bee, and it was the original home of Charmy Bee before he left to join the Chaotix Crew.

Overview[]

The Hive is incredibly wealthy, because the resident bees possess the secret of making gold. Bees gather ingredients from across the Special Zone and bring them back to the Hive, where workers turn them into solid gold.

History[]

Charmy Bee was prince of the Hive, but left to become a superhero with the Chaotix Crew, on condition that he would remain in touch with his mother the Queen. After failing to keep this promise, the Queen sent soldiers to bring Charmy home - Sonic the Hedgehog witnessed this, and accompanied them to speak on Charmy's behalf.

Shortly after reaching the Hive, it was attacked by Vesper and his wasp marauders.[1] The wasps defeated the Hive's guards and infiltrated the throne room, but they were eventually defeated and expelled by Sonic.[2]
