The Metarex Deserd is a character that appears in the anime series Sonic X. He was an incredibly powerful and unusual Metarex, composed of an indefinite mass of nanites.

History

Metarex Saga

The Metarex Deserd was encountered by the crew of the Blue Typhoon on the plant of the Hobidon where he made himself appear as a maze-like mansion. After toying with Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose, and Knuckles the Echidna within the walls of this mansion, he turned into a mass of nanites and began attacking. Though the Metarex Deserd proved too powerful for the heroes, he was eventually defeated upon the unexpected appearance of Shadow the Hedgehog, who used the power of a Chaos Emerald to boost his own abilities and destroy Deserd's core.

Personality

Deserd is a cunning and sneaky Metarex, using his shapeshifting power to impersonate a castle to take its enemies by surprise. Deserd is loyal to Dark Oak and the Metarex commanders. Deserd is also very arrogant, proclaiming himself to be invincible while he attacks Sonic and his friends and telling them about the hopelessness of their situation. Deserd shows a sadistic sense of humor, such as laughing as he electrocuted Sonic and making a pun while drowning Sonic in his body that he had “sunk to a new low”. Deserd is also very malevolent, even calling himself and his fellow Metarex “evil”.

Powers and abilities

The Meratex Deserd was composed of nanites, making him capable of taking on multiple forms. Its makeup made it virtually impossible to damage, as he could form super-strong walls and break them apart without damage. He could also create organic-looking structures such as a fang-filled mouth or eyes. Additionally, he was capable of flight and harnessing destructive energy.
