- The solicit for this volume stated that issues Sonic the Hedgehog #85-#88 would appear. Later, the preview for this volume at the back of Sonic the Hedgehog Archives Vol. 22 stated a story from Sonic Super Special #14 would also appear. In the end, only Sonic the Hedgehog #88 did not appear (instead featuring in Sonic the Hedgehog Archives Vol. 24).
