Loot Crate is a subscription box service established in 2012. It provides a monthly box, consisting of items such as exclusive collectibles, apparel, home goods and more. There are different crate subscriptions to choose from, such as Pop Culture Crates and Gaming Crates, which then also have more options within them. Starting in 2014, Loot Crate included Sonic the Hedgehog series items in its boxes. In 2018, they produced their first Sonic toys.

Products[]

For Loot Crate's box in August 2014, a "Sonic Breeze Air Freshener" was included. It was made by Epic-Scents rather than Loot Crate itself, but was still the first Sonic-related product included in one of their boxes. The box also included a copy of issue #13 of Loot Crate's own mini magazine, which features Sonic on the front cover.

Clothing[]

In September 2016 as a part of the Loot Wear subscription, a pair of Sonic-themed socks were included in the box. The socks are Classic themed and have a design of scattered Rings from Classic Sonic taking damage.

The following month as a part of the Loot Gaming subscription, a pair of Dr. Eggman-themed fingerless gloves were included in the box. The design of the gloves is minimal, simply depicting the doctor's face logo on each glove along with the text "Game Over".

In November 2017 as a part of the Loot Wear subscription, a Sonic Forces-themed shirt and boxers were available. Both had the characters Classic Sonic, Sonic, Tails and Knuckles all minimally illustrated in their main color. The boxers had the characters as a pattern and the shirt had a graphic of the four with a Forces-inspired design behind them.

Figures[]

In January 2018 as a part of the Loot Anime subscription, a figure of Shadow the Hedgehog was available in the box. This was the first character from of the Sonic the Hedgehog series to get an exclusive figure from Loot Crate. The figure is based on stock artwork from Sonic Art Assets DVD, resembling a similar artwork created for Sonic Adventure 2.

During the same month as a part of the Loot Gaming subscription, a figure of Dr. Eggman was available in the box. The figure depicts Eggman in his Egg Mobile, floating over a grassy base. It's a unique design as Eggman's head is much larger in proportion to the rest of his body and ship. Also available in the box were seven small pins of the Chaos Emeralds.

Two months later as a part of the normal subscription, a figure of Sonic was available in the box. The figure simply depicts Sonic running in Green Hill Zone, about to collect two gold rings floating above the base.

In September of the same year, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the debut of Metal Sonic, a figure of the character was available in the box for the Loot Gaming subscription. The figure depicts Classic Metal Sonic reaching out while flying through Stardust Speedway Zone. The figure is on-model, very detailed and the paint work has a shiny, metallic-like finish.
