Gwek is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a human resident of Mazuri and one of the Guardians of the Gaia Keys, which are essential to access the Gaia Temple.

Gwek was born into the family which has protected Mazuri's Gaia Keys in secret for generations,[1] a duty which he eventually assumed. During a raid by the Efrika Egg Army however, Gwek's keys were stolen.[2]

Amidst the Shattered World Crisis, Gwek met with Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails and Chip who sought the Gaia Keys to fix the planet. Revealing what had happened to the keys, Gwek explained the Egg Army had most likely stashed them in the Gaia Temple that they have occupied at the Holy Tree.[3]
Gwek later rejoiced when he oversaw the restoration of the world.[2]
