Cater-Killer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a larger, train-based variant of the Caterkiller Badnik created by Dr. Eggman.

History[]

Cater-Killer's Coming![]

Cater-Killer was unleashed by Dr. Eggman for the task of terrorizing numerous towns by plowing through them. It managed to plow through Furville before heading for Knothole Village. Sonic was able to phase himself and Tails through the armor so that Tails could reprogram it to run off a cliff and into the sea.[1]

Personality[]

Unlike the Badnik it was based on, Cater-Killer had significantly less intelligence than the smaller bug-based Badnik, as a simple computer with no manner of A.I. ran the whole robot.

Powers and abilities[]

As a train-based badnik, it has many segments, nigh indestructible armor, and great speed. It is powerful enough to plow through entire cities with ease.

Trivia[]

  • Writer Karl Bollers revealed that one of the long scrapped plots would have A.D.A.M. reactivate Cater-Killer, as part of his rebellion against Dr. Eggman.[2]
  • Cater-Killer's design shares a resemblance to the Egg Carrier's transport vehicles in Sonic Adventure.
