Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Music from the Motion Picture) is the original soundtrack for the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film. It was scored by Tom Holkenborg and was released digitally on 8 April 2022, the same day as the film in the United States.[1] It was later released on in a CD format on 12 April 2022, which was limited to two thousand copies.[2]

Trivia[]
- At 1:01 of "You Don't Have to Be Alone Anymore", the song begins to sample the drowning theme from the original Sonic the Hedgehog.
- At 2:34 of "A New Order", the song begins to sample the Sky Sanctuary from Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
- Unlike the first film (which was recorded at ELBO Studios in Glendale, CA), the score was entirely kept MIDI in the final result of the music (with the exception of the woodwinds (by Dan Higgins (flute and clarinet), Lara Wickes (oboe), and Anthony Parnther (bassoon)) and some soloists by Max Karmazyn on violin, viola, and cello) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- At 2:47 of "Team vs. Robotnik", the song sounded dramatic and violent. But in the final film, the music was replaced by additonal music composed by Jack Roberts.
