The Fighting Pose[1] is a mechanic that appears in Sonic Battle. It is a category of skill-based moves that the playable characters use to determine their fighting pose.

Fighting Poses are techniques that first and foremost determine the playable character's fighting pose and movements when said character is standing still. When a Fighting Pose is added to Emerl though, it will possibly add additional effects such as putting Emerl's attack and defense up on par with the character from which the Fighting Pose is derived from, especially when combined with their associated Attack and Strength Support techniques. Each Fighting Pose also changes the color of Emerl's eyes/visor. For example, using Shadow Style turns Emerl's eyes/visor black while Rouge Style turns them purple.

While all Fighting Poses are the same in function, each one has its own strengths and weaknesses that are determined by two attributes: speed and power. Some even have different mechanics; E-102 Style allows the user to create a damage-inducing explosion upon defeat and Fighting Poses such as Chaos Style change the sound effects heard when the user takes damage or is defeated.

In gameplay, unlike most other skills, the Fighting Pose is a passive move that is always active and does not need to be activated by the player.
