The Ferox is a creature that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is one of the many forms a Chao can take.

Description

Anatomy

Feroxes are small creatures with pudding-like bodies. They have round, waterdrop-like heads with large eyes but no noses, round torsos smaller than their heads, smooth feet with no legs, and arms with no visible hands. Neither their arms or feet have digits. They also have a short tail, small wings, and a floating emotion indicator above their heads.

Feroxes themselves also have green skin with light green skin around their mouth area, white eyes with black sclera, red wings and a red emotion indicator. They also each have two backswept and short spikes on the back of their heads.

Powers and abilities

Thanks to their wings, the Feroxes are capable of flight.[1]

History

Chao Races and Badnik Bases

The Ferox were among the many Chao that competed in the qualification race in the White Park Grand Chateau's White Park Chao Racing Circuit. One lady in particular had several Feroxes that she got to compete in said event, which they all managed to get through.[1] Some time after, these Feroxes would join their owner in the chateau's foyer.[2]
