A punch so strong it travels down the track, slowing down rivals who run behind it.

— Description, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

The Fearless Strike is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Projectile Item used primarily to attack rivals.

Description[]

The Fearless Strike's icon takes the form of Movie Knuckles' clutched fist moving forward with red rings around it from the wrist down. In gameplay, this power-up becomes Movie Knuckles crackling with chaos energy before firing a fast-moving white projectile identical to Movie Knuckles' fist with a white-pink aura that leaves a red energy trail behind it.

Overview[]

SFSB Fearless Strike Gameplay

Movie Knuckles using the Fearless Strike, from Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.

In gameplay, the Fearless Strike can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Movie Knuckles. As with most other Items, Metal Sonic and Metal Sonic Mach 3.0 can also use the Fearless Strike if they use the Steal Item, or Fortune Teller Amy if she uses Lucky Draw or Wall of Cards to steal it from the aforementioned user.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Fearless Strike by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the user sets loose the Fearless Strike's projectile that will travel down the lane it was deployed on in front of the user. As the projectile moves forward, the Fearless Strike will pass through any obstacle or rival until this power-up wears off. Rival characters that make contact with the Fearless Strike will take damage, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily. Additionally, any rival character that stays in the energy trail left by the Fearless Strike will slowly begin to decrease their speed. To avoid the Fearless Strike, the playable character has to step out of its lane or jump over it.

The Fearless Strike can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 6, 12 and 18 respectively. For level 6 and 18, the damage dealt by the Fearless Strike will be increased; and for level 12, the Fearless Strike will more likely to get two of the power-up in one pickup.
