Family Gathering[1] is the first quest on Kronos Island, and the first one overall. It's hosted by Amy. Its goal is to guide the 50 Kocos back to the mother before the timer runs out.
Family Gathering takes place close to the north regions of Kronos Island. In the background, a giant tower, as well multiple mossy ruins, can be observed. The soil is mostly composed of grass and is covered by various plants.
Since Sonic Frontiers features a day-night cycle, some elements, such as the sky, might differ from player to player.
Story[]
Some time after Amy decided to help a Koco looking for their true love, Sonic would encounter the hedgehog girl and her friend again, trying to help a mother who lost her children. Asking him if he could lead the Koco Children back to them, Sonic agrees, thus starting this Quest.
Gameplay[]
The gameplay of Family Gathering is similar to that of another Quest, Koco Roundup, which can be found later on Ares Island. In Family Gathering, the player has to guide the 50 Kocos towards Amy and the Koco mother by pushing them. The Kocos can be found in pairs of five.
During the Quest, Bombs are dropped from the sky, which, after some time they made contact with the ground, will explode, creating an electric aura around them. Touching the aura will result in a Life being drained. In this Quest, the player has three Lifes. Taking damage from the Bombs will drain one Life, and once all three are consumed, the player will automatically fail the Quest. Boost and Dodge are also not available in this Quest.[1]
Overview[]
In Family Gathering, the player has to guide the 50 Koco back to the mother without getting hit by the Bombs within the time limit, which is 60 seconds, or 1 minute. In order to complete the Quest, the player has to push the 50 Koco towards the mother and Amy which, when nearby, will jump above the two and disappear, adding to a counter on the top of the screen.
Once all 50 have been returned, Sonic will be rewarded with the green Chaos Emerald.
