The Field Of Effect Inhibitors[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a bazooka-like weapon created and used by the Zone Cops to restrain enemies and cancel out their superpowers.
Description[]
Appearance[]
The F.O.E. Inhibitor resembles a silver bazooka.[1]
Features and traits[]

Horizont-Al and Verti-Cal restrained and depowered by F.O.E. Inhibitors, from Sonic Universe #32.
F.O.E. Inhibitors fire small, metal projectiles which create a light blue ring of energy, which affects anyone inside the ring, cancelling out any superpowers they possess, very similarly to a Control Collar. The rings also restrain their targets and leave them floating in mid-air. According to Warden Zobotnik, they also cause their targets pain.[1]
History[]
Inside Job[]
When Scourge and the Destructix orchestrated a breakout from Zone Jail and removed Horizont-Al and Verti-Cal's Control Collars, restoring their powers and allowing them to go on a rampage, Warden Zobotnik and several Zone Cops got F.O.E. Inhibitors and used them on Al and Cal, trapping them and removing their powers once again. Zobotnik and the Zone Cops then tried to hit Scourge with the Inhibitors as well, but Scourge used his super-speed to dodge them and escaped Zone Jail.
