Emotes are equiptable poses in Sonic Rumble. They are special animations that players can use to communicate and interact with others during gameplay.
Overview[]
Emotes are designed to be quick and easy to use, allowing players to express themselves without disrupting the flow of the game. Players are able to equip up to four emotes at a time and by clicking the little Sonic icon on the right side of the screen, players can interact before, during, or after a match.
Players can unlock emotes through various means, including purchasing them from the Store, leveling up their Emblem Rank, or by collecting them in the Season Pass. Before Pre-Season 4 Emotes can be leveled up by collecting enough Emote Pieces, which provide bonuses to a character’s score such as when they win or lose a round, use Stickers, or use movement-based gimmicks like Springs. Currently Emotes no longer have Score Bonuses & now only act as cosmetics.

The character's face flushes bright red, and puffs of steam erupt from the sides as they shake their head.
Taunt
The character does the "Come at me!" hand gesture.
Synchronized Clapping
The character congratulatory claps their hands as yellow sparkles erupt around them.
Fist Bump
The character clenches their fists and strikes a pose.
Vent
The character waves their fist around while thick red lines appear around them like lightning.
Thumbs Up 2
The character twirls around and delivers a double thumbs up as stars burst above them.
Kung Fu Stance
The character does a roundhouse kick before striking a pose.
Jump for Joy
The character jumps and flips in the air before landing and striking a pose.
Stadium Wave
The character performs the wave (also known as the Mexican wave outside North America).
