As their name suggests, the Elephant Mecha is based on an elephant, as well as being visually similar to that of a flamethrower. These Badniks have an orange, cylinder-shaped body resembling a canister, red ears, small white "tusks," and a gray trunk-like hose that protrudes from their face and connects to their back.
Overview[]
In Sonic Superstars, the Elephant Mechas exclusively appear in both acts of Press Factory Zone. In gameplay, the Elephant Mechas are stationary Badniks that sit in place to wait for the player to get within range, at which point they will lock on and carefully train their trunk on the player before shooting a small fireball in the player's direction. Despite this, the Elephant Mechas have no defensive capabilities, making them susceptible to any of the player's attacks. Like most Badniks in the game, the Elephant Mecha will release their Animal and award the player 100 points upon destruction.
Powers and abilities[]
The Elephant Mechas can shoot fireballs from their trunks, making them very effective Badniks for ranged attacks.
Trivia[]
The Elephant Mecha is the first elephant-based Badnik in the series, although the cancelled Sonic X-treme would have also featured an elephant Badnik in the form of the Trunkbot.
