The Eleki Angler[1] (エレキアングル[2],Erekianguru?, lit. "Electricity Angler") is a mass-produced, anglerfish-based Badnik model, and a variant of the Barrier Anglers, serving Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega.
The Eleki Anglers' design are derived from the typcial anglerfish. They possess green bodies with gray fins, gray jaws, sharp white teeth, yellow eyes, and a luminescent fin ray on their forehead.
In gameplay, Eleki Anglers swim around harmlessly. When the playable character approaches them however, they will charge up their fin ray's bulb before shooting three fast-moving energy balls directly ahread of them that can damage the playable character if they touch them. To defeat an Eleki Angler, the player has to dodge its attack or wait until it stops firing and then hit it with an offensive move to destroy it.
Powers and abilities[]
Thanks to their design, the Eleki Anglers are excellent swimmers. They are also able to generate harmful energy balls that they can fire from their fin ray.
