The Electrocage is an object that appears in the Sonic Boom television series. It is a piece of technology invented by Dr. Eggman for imprisoning Team Sonic.

The Electrocage is a high-tech hover disc with a red projector on the bottom. When activated, it generates a number of unmovable orange energy rings below it, forming a cage so impeccable than none of Team Sonic's members can escape. However, the prisoners can still stick their limbs out between the energy rings. The entire device is controlled by a remote control.[1]

Season one

The Electrocage was invented by Dr. Eggman as a means to capture Team Sonic. While in the Village, Eggman condescendingly demonstrated his Electrocage to Dave the Intern before he got knocked out. Dave then used the Electrocage to imprison Eggman in his house while he hijacked the doctor's forces, until Sonic freed Eggman from the cage.[1] The cage was used again by Eggman, this time to imprison the Archipelago Homeowners Association in his lair, only for Sonic to free them shortly after.[2]
