Ehsan

Template:Character Ehsan (イフサーン, Ifusān^?) is a human resident of Shamar who appears in Sonic Unleashed. He is the father of Erhan in the PS2/Wii version of the game. Ehsan works as a temple repairman, restoring the ancient ruins found near Shamar. However, the many years of working in the desert sands have left Ehsan's sinuses nearly permanently clogged, which is why he sneezes almost all the time. However, despite his sneezing and his slight senility, Ehsan has proven himself to be of good assistance to Sonic and Chip, regarding both moral and practical support.

On the PS2/Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, Ehsan is the Temple Guardian of Spagonia's Gaia Temple. His job is to both guard the temple and the Gaia Gate, and lead the ones who are worthy to enter the Gate.

History

PS3/Xbox 360

According to his profile, Ehsan have spend years working as a temple repairman, restoring the ancient temples outside of Shamar. However, after having worked in the desert for years, the sand and dust left Ehsan's sinuses nearly permanently clogged, leaving him nearly unable to stop sneezing.

During the events of Sonic Unleashed, Ehsan met Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip when the two of them first came to Shamar. Upon meeting them, Ehsan instantly sneezed at Sonic and Chip, but quickly apologized them and explained his problem with his sinuses, before giving off another sneeze. Ehsan was then asked by Sonic and Chip of where they could find Professor Pickle's laboratory, and Ehsan gladly provided the duo with the right directions.

Some time later, Ehsan was approached by Sonic and Chip again. Just as they met, however, Ehsan sneezed at them again, but once again quickly apologized and explained his problem. As Sonic and Chip asked him where to find the local Gaia Temple, Ehsan was initially confused at what they were talking about, but then understood what they meant, and provided Sonic and Chip with the directions to the local Entrance Stage.

While Sonic and Chip were away, Ehsan learned that Professor Pickle was looking for the duo, though Ehsan thought the professor's name was "Professor Prickle". Some time later, Ehsan met Sonic and Chip again, and he told the two of them that "Professor Prickle" was looking for them. Ehsan was then corrected by Sonic and Chip, saying the name was "Pickle", but Ehsan remarked that the name he said was close enough.

While Sonic and Chip talked to Professor Pickles, Ehsan heard that there was trouble in Empire City. Not long after, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip again. He then told Sonic and Chip what he had heard of Empire City, before telling them strictly to stay away from there.

A while later, after Sonic and Chip had restored Shamar's continent, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip once more. Upon meeting them, Ehsan explained that barrels and jars had been smashed all over town, leaving quite the mess. He then told Sonic and Chip that it was without a doubt the dark monsters who were behind this, before giving off a sneeze.

When Sonic and Chip restored another continent, Ehsan felt the tremors from the continent coming back into place. Ehsan, however, interpreted the tremors as if the planet was coming apart again, leaving him scared out of his mind. When Sonic and Chip later returned to the town, Ehsan met up with the duo again and told that the planet broke apart again, before sneezing. To his relief, however, Ehsan heard from Sonic and Chip that the planet was just coming back together.

A while later, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip again, and asked the duo if they did not get tired from fighting to save the world. As he kept sneezing, Ehsan told Sonic and Chip that he had one thing to say, which was that they like gleaming warriors in battle, and asked them hopefully if his comment had rekindled their fire.

As Sonic and Chip were heading to Eggmanland, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip again told them that the final battle was nearing at last or something similar, before giving off a sneeze. Ehsan then told Sonic and Chip, while sneezing, that he had only one thing to say to them, which was that the world's fate rested in their hands, and asked them if they were nervous or just excited after his comment.

Ehsan later watched on in horror with the rest of his town, as Dark Gaia began to cast the world into darkness, but rejoiced while talking to Raniya as the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat at the hands of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus.

Much is unknown about Ehsan's past. At some point in his life, however, Ehsan had a son, who was named Erhan.

During the events of Sonic Unleashed, Ehsan met Sonic the Hedgehog and Chip when the duo first arrived in Shamar. Upon meeting them, Ehsan instantly sneezed at Sonic and Chip, but quickly apologized them and explained his problem with his sinuses. As he has asked by Sonic and Chip where to find Professor Pickle's laboratory, Ehsan told them that would have to asked the young people for that information, before giving off another sneeze.

Over the next period, Ehsan witnessed Sonic and Chip run all over Shamar. Eventually, Ehsan came into contact with Sonic and Chip again, and asked them if they were exchange students at Shamar University, as he saw them so often, before he was filled in that they were just visiting Professor Pickle. Ehsan then asked Sonic and Chip if Professor Pickle was a smart man who knew the cure for clogged sinuses, before sneezing.

Some time later, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip again. After apologizing to them after having sneezed on them, Ehsan asked Sonic Chip if they were traveling around the world, having somehow learned of it. Ehsan then asked Sonic and Chip where they were going next, and heard it was Adabat. Ehsan then told Sonic and Chip that Adabat had been turned upside down by the earthquake created from the Earth's shattering. Upon saying that, however, Ehsan began to realize that Sonic and Chip were the ones fixing the planet, as he had heard stories about their travels. Before he ask them that, however, Ehsan told Sonic and Chip not to mind him, before giving off another sneeze.

After Sonic and Chip had left, Ehsan became certain that Sonic and Chip were the ones responsible for restoring the planet, and eventually figured out how they were looking for the Gaia Temples to restore the planet. Wanting to help out Sonic and Chip, Eshan told Erhan to keep an eye out for Sonic and asked him to tell them that he was looking for them.

A while later, Ehsan finally met up with Sonic and Chip, and told the duo that he had been expecting them. Ehsan told Sonic and Chip how he knew that they were looking for the Gaia Temples after having heard about their travels, and then gave them the Moon Tablet for the local Sacred Shrine, as he knew they would need it. Before Ehsan could say anything more, however, he had a sneezing attack, and only managed to tell Sonic and Chip to just take the Moon Tablet.

Some time later, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip again, and told them that he hoped the two of them would make it back safely, and that they were all rooting for them, before sneezing.

After Sonic and Chip found all the tablet fragments for Shamar's Gaia Gate, Ehsan met up with Sonic and Chip once more, and he praised the two of them for their impressive feat. As Ehsan remarked that they needed them to be combined into a Planet Tablet in order to gain access to the local Gaia Temple, he told Sonic and Chip to leave it to him as he revealed to the duo that he was the local Temple Guardian. Ehsan was then given the tablet fragments by Sonic, and he assembled them into a complete Planet Tablet for Sonic and Chip to use.

Ehsan later watched on in horror with the rest of his town, as Dark Gaia began to cast the world into darkness, but rejoiced while talking to Raniya as the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat at the hands of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus.
