Ehsan (イフサーン Ifusān?) is a character that appears in Sonic Unleashed. He is a human resident of Shamar and a temple repairman who works on restoring the ancient ruins near Shamar. However, the many years of working in the desert have left Ehsan's sinuses nearly permanently clogged, making him unable to stop sneezing.

On the Wii/PlayStation 2 version of the game, Ehsan is the Gaia Temple guardian of Shamar's Gaia Temple.

History

As Ehsan remarked that they needed them to be combined into a Planet Tablet in order to gain access to the local Gaia Temple, he told Sonic and Chip to leave it to him as he revealed that he was the local Temple Guardian. Ehsan was then given the tablet fragments and he assembled them into a complete Planet Tablet for Sonic and Chip to use.

Ehsan later watched on in horror with the rest of his town, as Dark Gaia began to cast the world into darkness while maturing into Perfect Dark Gaia, but rejoiced while talking to Raniya as the world returned to normal following Perfect Dark Gaia's defeat at the hands of Super Sonic and the Gaia Colossus.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics, Ehsan is a human resident from Shamar and a Guardian of one of the Gaia Keys. Due to his title, he was kidnapped by the Midesta Egg Army during the Shattered World Crisis.
