The Eggstreme Gear is an Item Box power-up that appears in Sonic Forces: Speed Battle
Description [ ] The Eggstreme Gear's icon takes the form of the aformentioned Extreme Gear leaving a cyan trail behind it, both as an icon and in gameplay.
Overview [ ] In gameplay, the Eggstreme Gear can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by the Phantom Rider .
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Eggstreme Gear by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Eggstreme Gear will stop the user for about a half second, then will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The duration of the Eggstreme Gear is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever it is in effect. Any rival character who makes contact with the user while the Eggstreme Gear is in effect will take damage, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily. In addition, the Eggstreme Gear will leave random objects behind its wake when active, also damaging any rival characters that make contact with them. However, it will end prematurely if the playable character takes damage while using it.
The Eggstreme Gear can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to levels 2, 8, 14 and 20 respectively. The first upgrade (level 2) will increase its duration, while the subsequent upgrades (levels 8, 14 and 20) will increase its speed.
