Eggman's Sonic Simulator (widely known as Sonic Sim or Game Land) is the multiplayer mode of Sonic Colors. It can be playable as a form of a co-op, But it can be played with 1 or 2 players either way. The playable characters are a variety of differently colored Robo-Sonics and Miis.
Sonic Sim was revealed by IGN on 2 September, 2010. The mode is unlocked by collecting Red Rings throughout the in-game stages. Unlocking them is optional and will be selected on the menu screen.
This mode is mainly a 2D scroll co-op and the Robo-Sonics can activate Wisp powers as well. Most of the levels are very plain, with no specific look and a simple colored background. The stage select is also represented by the Chaos Emeralds and each emerald has 3 stages sporting its color and retro music. There are a total of 21 stages and only Robo-Sonics and Mii's are playable.
There are 3 different ways to play, 1 Player means that you can play by yourself and you can switch between the 2 Robo-Sonics at any time, Then there's 1.5 players meaning that the 2nd player can drop in or out at anytime (not to mention that the 2nd player gets unlimited lifes). And finally there's 2 player mode meaning that 2 players must work together and stay close to each other with no dropping out in order to succeed or unlimited lifes.
There are 7 Zones, each with 3 Acts, and each representing a Chaos Emerald collected in the final act of said zone. After clearing every level you will get the Chaos Emeralds. Afterwards,you could play as Super Sonic in story mode (dispite not being able to turn super during the simulater.). It could be said this is the game's Special Stages.

- Sonic Sim was first leaked by Amazon's Japanese website showing a picture of Robo-Sonics running in a colorless world, but it was removed soon after.
- It wasn't SEGA who first confirmed Sonic Sim; it was IGN's Sonic Colors' preview. However, IGN hadn't named it "Sonic Simulator" yet.
- Sonic Simulator was first introduced in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, when you play the missions for the first time.
- 8-Bit themes of each level song is played during the Sonic Simulator levels.
- Robo-Sonic's 4 alternate colors to play as are Red,Pink, Black, and Blue.
- Some of the level design of the 2-D sections of the stage are similar to acts from Sonic 1 e.g 4-1 is identical to Star Light Zone's Act 1.
- The theme of Sonic Sim is similar to the Egg Cerberus/Egg Genesis and Egg Wyvern themes from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
