The Eggbot[1] is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a mass-produced Badnik model created by Dr. Eggman in his own likeness.

History[]

Past[]

The Eggbots were first deployed by Dr. Eggman when he launched the Death Egg from Angel Island to stop Sonic and Tails, who were at the time attempting to infiltrate the Death Egg from the Sky Sanctuary.[2]

At some point, Julian Snively piloted an Eggbot to eliminate Knuckles. Along the way, he used various vehicles while in the robot to defeat the echidna, but was defeated in all of these encounters. His Eggbot was ultimately destroyed by Mecha Sonic by accident at the Sky Sanctuary, though Snively survived and escaped as the Sonic-like robot fought Knuckles.[3][2]

More recently, hordes of Eggbots were deployed at the Sky Sanctuary once again to stop Sonic and his younger self during an incident involving the Time Eater.[4]

Worlds Unite[]

Note: From the readers' point of view, this picks up from where the Eggbots' original history ended.

To create M'egga Man, Dr. Eggman would apply the Eggbots' schematics on Mega Man. Dr. Wily would later make notice of this, complimenting Eggman's success at doing so.[1]
