The Egg Typhoon[1] (エッグ・タイフーン[2] Eggu Taifūn?), originally known as the Egg Typhoon-gou (エッグ・タイフーン号[3]?) in Japan, is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a racing kart that Dr. Eggman used during his early racing competitions.
Description
The Egg Typhoon's design is loosely based on the Egg Mobile's design as it was in Sonic the Hedgehog 2, but without the wings, tail pipes, bulky built, and circular rear armor. The Egg Typhoon is a small, single-man hovercraft in a hemispherical shape, with a black circular underside and a thick metal gray rim that is adorned with a black and yellow hazard stripe on the outside. On the front it has a circular nose cone that covered by a piece of metal plating, and have a small yellow windshield above it. On the inside, the Egg Typhoon has a yoke for piloting up front and a single-man brown and black striped seat that fills up most of the inside.
The original Egg Typhoon-gou had additional instruments on the inside surface and the logo of the Eggman Empire from Wing Fortress Zone adorning the seat. In Sonic Drift 2, the Egg Typhoon was slightly remodeled, having lost the additional instruments as well as the Eggman Empire logo on the seat.

Sonic Drift 2
In Sonic Drift 2, the Egg Typhoon returned as Eggman's personal race car that he uses in the game's racing competitions. In this game, it is referred to as the Egg Typhoon[1] (エッグ・タイフーン[2] Eggu Taifūn?).
In gameplay, the Egg Typhoon has low acceleration, decent top speed, and very high handling. like in Sonic Drift, the Egg Typhoon's special ability allows Eggman to deploy drop Mines on the race tracks that make those who touch them lose Rings and spin out of control for a while. Like before, using this ability costs two Rings.

Sonic the Hedgehog's Gameworld
In Sonic the Hedgehog's Gameworld, the Egg Typhoon-gou, along with other three characters' vehicles from Sonic Drift, are used in the "Car Race" minigame. In the Car Race, the Egg Typhoon-goue is used by Dr. Eggman to race around a circular track in a one-lap kart race against the other characters.
