The area takes place at a canyon right next to a robotic factory. Dr. Eggman, of course, has built this place. The factory has several hazards, such as the robots in this area. This Zone is split into three major sections.
Egg Rocket Zone starts outside, on a rocket-launching base during sundown. There, the player enters a rocket. Once the player enters the rocket, it will take off and the time counter will be set to 4 minutes and 59 seconds, and it will start counting down. The player will have to make it to the next goal, where part of the rocket comes off and the rocket moves even higher up before the clock counts all the way down and when the timer expires, the player will lose a life and will have to restart from the beginning of that section. If the player reaches the goal in a certain time, then the clock will be set back to 4 minutes and 59 seconds and will count down again. The final fragment takes the player into outer space, where it is visible in the background. It features multiple bridges, anti-gravity devices and spikes. There's a total of three goals, making this level and act the longest in the entire game. The third goal is the entrance to the next level, Cosmic Angel Zone, where the rocket lands on.
- This zone resembles Flying Battery Zone from Sonic & Knuckles when the rocket is flying; even the elements and the gameplay are similar to that Zone.
