The Egg Pawn Rangers are a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are a team of elite Pawn Series Badniks created by Dr. Eggman with the authority to command smaller hordes of Badniks. They possess unique abilities and weaponry, making them much tougher than regular Egg Pawns.
In Sonic Rumble, the team are located in the Egg Toy Land in a location similar to Game Land 3 from the Wisp incident, where they serve the role of being a boss.
Appearance[]
The Egg Pawn Rangers are very similar in design to the regular Egg Pawns seen during the Lost Hex incident, with the biggest difference in their design being the yellow sphere they have on their chest, their colors, and different accessories such as hats or sunglasses, with the latter two being unique between the members.
Additionally, the designs for each member of the Egg Pawn Rangers also seem to be inspired by character stereotypes, with the Red Ranger being a swordsman, the Blue Ranger resembling a mob member, the Yellow Ranger using a katana and having a wire on the back of their neck that resembles a samurai's hairstyle, the Green Ranger resembling a viking, and the Purple Ranger using attacks and postures similar to those of a sumo wrestler.
Power and abilities[]
Although each Ranger has unique powers, all of the Egg Pawn Ranger members each share the ability to teleport and generate a temporary shield that protects them from any harm. Additionally, they can also summon various Badniks to help aid during combat. Unlike the easy to destroy standard Egg Pawns, the Egg Pawn Rangers cannot be damaged by normal means and are completely immune to most attack methods (with the only exception being the Attack power-up).

The Elite Egg Pawn Rangers are variants of the Egg Pawn Rangers that also debuted in Sonic Rumble. They have the same abilities, weapons, and resistance just like their original counterparts, but with much greater strength and offensive capabilities alongside an upgraded design.
Trivia[]
- As seen by their name and design, the Egg Pawn Rangers are a parody of the Power Rangers from the Super Sentai franchise.
- The Egg Pawn Rangers are somewhat similar to the Hard Boiled Heavies from Sonic Mania, as both are groups of five enhanced Eggman-based Badniks where each member has unique personalities and attack methods from one another.
- However, unlike the Hard Boiled Heavies, the Egg Pawn Rangers do not feature a ring leader for the group, as well as all five members being fought at the same time opposed to having their own unique boss battles.
