The Egg Hornet (エッグホーネット Eggu Hōnetto?) is an object that appears in the Sonic X anime series. It was a vehicle used by Dr. Eggman during the Chaos incident.

Features and abilities[]
The Egg Hornet is capable of flight and is equipped with homing missiles and two rapidly-spinning drills for close combat.[1] However, it possesses limited strength; while its drills were powerfully enough to counter Sonic's Ring-powered Spin Attack briefly, they eventually shattered from the pressure.[2]

Eggman used the Egg Hornet when he confronted Sonic and Tails upon the duo's discovery of a Chaos Emerald in Windy Valley. He proceeded to steal the heroes' two Chaos Emeralds from Tails before being forced into battle against Sonic. Although the Egg Hornet was destroyed after failing to overpower Sonic's Ring-powered Spin Attack with its drill, Eggman still managed to get away with his prize.[2]
