Boss Guide
To defeat this boss, the team must chase the Egg Hawk across a large circular arena. The Egg Hawk will constantly shoot its bullets at a range in front of it so the player must be careful when approaching. The boss is supported by two Egg Pawn robots that assist shooting at the team, which they can be destroyed. If the player switches to Fly Formation and uses Thunder Shoot at the rotors, the Egg Hawk will be temporarily disabled in place, giving the other teammates an opportunity to attack. If the team falls behind the Egg Hawk by a great distance, it will quickly fly towards the team. Once the Egg Hawk reaches the center of the circular beach arena found along the path, it will stop moving and spin around, initiating its Rotary Attack. It is recommended to switch to Power Formation as their attacks can deal a lot of damage against the Egg Hawk before flying off. The player will then need to repeat the above tactics until the Egg Hawk is destroyed.
There is another boss which has the Egg Hawk sitting on top of it, called the Egg Albatross, in the same game.
There is a glitch that causes the Egg Hawk's color to appear darker than it is supposed to (a dark purple rather than its actual color, red).
In the E3 build (where the boss is unused and can only be entered through hacking), a bug causes the game to crash after the transition from the stage. There's also no rings or breakable towers placed anywhere on the level, causing the fight to be harder than on the later releases.
In the Team Dark version of the fight upon seeing E-123 Omega, "Eggman" comments "You must be Omega". Being his creator, Eggman should already know who Omega is, foreshadowing the fact that this is not the real Eggman.
