The Egg Fighter Series[1] is a group that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an army of mass-produced, humanoid-like Badniks created by Dr. Eggman, first deployed during the premature Time of awakening.

Description[]

SU Egg Fighter

The Egg Fighter, the most basic model of the Egg Fighter Series, from the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed.

Overall, the majority of the robots in the Egg Fighter Series are humanoid-like; they are hemispherical robots with four flashlights arranged in a rectangle on their front and a flat cap-shaped head on top of it. They have relatively short legs, with flat feet and circular ankles, and four-fingered arms that extend almost down to the ground. They are colored steel blue and silver, and have purple eyes.

History[]

Sonic Unleashed[]

Fighters first appeared in the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version and Wii/PlayStation 2 version of Sonic Unleashed as enemies. Along with the standard Egg Fighters and their detachable autonomous hands, there are four types directly based on them: The Egg Shooters, the Shield variants, the Sword variants and the Knight variant. The last of which has two subtypes; the Electric shield types and the Spring shield types. Additionally, there are also Egg Launchers; variants of the Egg Fighters whose purpose is to launch large destructive missiles, with homing features, at their target.

Sonic Generations[]

In the console/PC version of Sonic Generations and its remaster Sonic X Shadow Generations, the Egg Fighter Series features in both acts of Rooftop Run, sharing their functionality and overall design with the originals from Sonic Unleashed, since this stage is a recreation of the counterpart from that game.
