The Egg Beetle is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is a large insect-based mech with powerful mandibles belonging to Dr. Eggman.

Originally belonging to Dr. Eggman, the Egg Beetle was given to Egg Boss Axel the Water Buffalo to defend his local Gaia Temple and deal with Sonic. When Sonic showed up in the Savannah Citadel Zone, Axel fought the hedgehog with the Egg Beetle in the Holy Tree, alongside his Egg Soldiers.[1]
Trivia[]
- The Egg Beetle is based on the boss of the same name in Sonic Unleashed. In fact, the place where it was first introduced and fought Sonic is the same area where it was fought in Sonic Unleashed.
