One day, the Egg-Rex caught Zavok, Dr. Starline, Mimic, Rough, and Tumble breaking into the Eggman Empire warehouse it was guarding to steal Power Cores, and confronted them. After Zavok's ability to manipulate magnetic fields proved useless against it, Rough and Tumble used their Grand Stink Bomber Slam against it, with Tumble throwing Rough into the Egg-Rex's open mouth. Tumble then held its jaws shut while Rough released his odor until the Egg-Rex could not contain it and burst to pieces.[2]
Later, Dr. Eggman and Orbot would inspect the remains of the destroyed Egg-Rex when they arrived to check out its warehouse.[2]
