The Earthshaker (ガイアシェイク Gaiasheiku?, lit. "Gaia Shake") is one of the Skills used by Sonic the Werehog in both the Wii/PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed. When using this move, Sonic performs a gigantic beating with his arms.
Xbox 360/PlayStation 3
In the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed, the Earthshaker is one of Sonic's Hook Attack Skills. When performing this move, Sonic first executes a Wild Whirl. He then follows up by enlarging both his arms and fists and begins hammering down on the opponent(s) with both fists rapidly and with such force that he creates small tremors. He keeps this up for a short while before fishing off with an extra powerful hit to the ground with both fists.
The Earthshaker becomes available in the game when Sonic the Werehog's Combat parameter reaches level 19. To perform the Earthshaker in gameplay, the player must press / in quick succession. The player can control which way Sonic is facing while using the Earthshaker. This attack deals damage to a wide area of enemies, but it does little damage on its own. In gameplay, the final part of the Earthshaker knocks the opponent(s) into the air.
When performing this move, Sonic enlarges his arms and fists and begins hammering down on the ground with both fists numerous times, and with such force that he creates small tremors, before fishing off with an extra powerful hit to the ground with both fists.
The Earthshaker is available in the game after the player has collected 36000 Dark Gaia Force Orbs on the Orb Result screen. To perform the Earthshaker in gameplay, the player must first hit an opponent(s) at least four times. Then, by pressing /, the player will activate the Earthshaker. While using the Earthshaker, the player can control which direction Sonic is facing when using it.
- The Earthshaker is arguably one of Sonic the Werehog's strongest moves on the Wii/PS2 version as it deals heavy damage due to the multiple hits it uses.
