Even Beta, who showed so much promise, was destroyed. A pity too. I wouldn't have wasted the time upgrading it otherwise.

Dr. Eggman upon gazing back on E-101 Mark II, Sonic Universe #3.

Template:Character E-101 Mark II is a character who appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. The remodeled version of E-101 Beta, E-101 Mark II was created by Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik to counter the traitorous E-102 Gamma. It exists in both the Pre- and Post-Super Genesis Wave timelines.

History

Pre-Super Genesis Wave

After E-102 Gamma betrayed the Eggman Empire, Dr. Eggman decided to rebuild E-101 Beta into E-101 Mark II, a stronger and powerful version of its successor. However, Gamma had destroyed E-101 Mark II.[1]

Post-Super Genesis Wave

Although hardly anything is known about E-101 Mark II in the Post-Super Genesis Wave timeline, it is assumed that E-101 Mark II did indeed exist within the timeline and was eventually destroyed by E-102 Gamma, if the events of Sonic Adventure remain true to the timeline.

Powers and Abilities

Hardly anything is known about E-101 Mark II's abilities, other than it was gifted with the ability to levitate and (although barely viewable due to the single panel E-101 Mark II appears on) a cannon on its left shoulder.

Trivia

  • While it is noticeable on the original model of E-101 Beta that the coloring and design was incorrect, the coloring on E-101 Mark II was thankfully faithful to its video game counterpart, albeit it is colored red and black rather than white and black, and it has two eyes rather than one (it should also be noted that its eyes are red in this incarnation, but the video game incarnation of E-101 Mark II has a green eye).
