Template:Item Durability UP is a Gear Part that appears in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity and Sonic Free Riders. It is an Extreme Gear component that improves an Extreme Gear's endurance and durability.
Description
Durability UP is an installable performance-enhancing component for Extreme Gears. Its actual appearance is unknown, though it is presented as an icon on the head-up display in the top-left corner of the game screen. In gameplay, the player can activate Durability UP under special circumstances, which will significantly increase an Extreme Gear's Power attribute. This allows the player to decrease speed loss over rough or poor terrain while riding an Extreme Gear, such as when going uphill, riding outside the tracks or when moving over inclines.

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
Durability UP first appeared in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. In this game, its icon is a light blue-colored circle with a image of a black arm doing a bicep pose, which is underlined by a spark on the side, inscribed in it. Here, Durability UP is a Gear Part permanently installed into only certain Extreme Gears.
In gameplay, Durability UP and its ability will be inactive at the start of the race. To activate Durability UP, the player must press one of the following buttons after collecting a certain amount of Rings:

When activating Durability UP, the Extreme Gear is surrounded by an orange void, indicate the Gear Part coming into effect.

Sonic Free Riders
Durability UP reappeared later in Sonic Free Riders. In this game, its icon is almost the same as it was in Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, except the background of the circle is colored dark green and the image of a bicep pose is colored in a lighter shade of green. Here, Durability UP is a customizable Gear Part that can be attached to different Extreme Gears. It is one of the Gear Parts that can be used from the beginning of the game.
If Durability UP is installed into the front slot, it becomes active in gameplay once the race begins. If installed into the rear slot, however, the player can activate and deactivate Durability UP by switching stance by turning his/her body around due to the Kinect controls of the game.
