The Dummy Ring Bomb[1] (ダミーリングボム Damīringu Bomu?) is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. When using this technique, the user attacks foes with Dummy Rings.

Description[]

When using the Dummy Ring Bomb, the user throws a batch of explosive Dummy Rings at the opponents, inflicting damage and even additional effects on opponents that come into contact with the Dummy Rings.

Game appearances[]

Sonic Heroes[]

The Dummy Ring Bomb first appeared in Sonic Heroes, where it is a Fly Formation maneuver and a Solo Attack used by Tails on Team Sonic and Rouge on Team Dark. In this game, when using the Dummy Ring Bomb, the user throws three Dummy Rings in front them. When enemies make contact with these Dummy Rings, the Rings explode in an electrical field that paralyzes and damages the enemy.

To use the Dummy Ring Bomb in gameplay, the selected team (either Team Sonic or Team Dark) must be in Fly Formation. The player then has to press XboxX/Square/SNNBGAMECUBEDISCO without any teammates nearby to use it.

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)[]

The Dummy Ring Bomb reappeared in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) as one of Tails' standard moves. In this game, when using the Dummy Ring Bomb, Tails stands on the ground and throws a Rings Item Box in front of him that explodes upon impact and releases several Dummy Rings, which damage all enemies that touch them.

To use the Dummy Ring Bomb in gameplay, the player must press XboxX/Square while on the ground.
