Rush forward with two swords to strike down your rivals. You can also get multiple dashes per pick up!

— Description, Sonic Forces: Speed Battle

The Dual Wield Dash is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a Boost Item used primarily to increase the user's speed.

Description

The Dual Wield Dash's icon takes the form of the two swords that make up Galatine sitting side-by-side, but pointing in opposite directions and with a large orange spark behind them. In gameplay, this power-up becomes the user pulling out Galatine and swinging them forward until the user holds them outward by their sides while a white aura briefly surrounds them.

Overview

In gameplay, the Dual Wield Dash can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Sir Gawain.

Once obtained, the player can utilize the Dual Wield Dash by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. Also, when obtaining the Dual Wield Dash, the player will receive multiple Dual Wield Dashes to use in the Boost Item slot on the HUD from a single Item Box, with two being the default. When used, the Dual Wield Dash will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The duration of the Dual Wield Dash is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Dual Wield Dash is in effect. In addition, any rival character who makes contact with the user while the Dual Wield Dash is in effect will take damage, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily.

The Dual Wield Dash can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 2, 8 and 14 respectively. At level 2, the player will increase the damage dealt with the Dual Wield Dash, and at level 8 and 14, the player increases their chances of picking up three Dual Wield Dashes from a single Item Box.
