Drill-bots are characters that appear in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. They are large tunnelling robots used for mining diamonds in the Eldorado Zone, which was built on the site of the old Diamond Mine Zone.

They are equipped with diamond sensors that let the drill-bots home in on any diamonds. Unfortunately, one drill-bot went berserk when it detected the jewellery of the Eldorado Zone residents in a fancy restaurant called Chez Pierre. It burrowed up through the ground and caused a lot of damage (one diner commented that it had appalling table manners). Fortunately, Tails was on hand to shut it down and ensure that nobody was hurt.[1]
