Dream Events are special-themed Olympic events that appears in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games and its sequels. Each one contains either a certain level from the Super Mario series or the Sonic the Hedgehog series and uses the level's properties to make the event "dream-like," thus resulting the name.

Trivia
- All of the Sonic-level Dream Events in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games are from either Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, or Sonic Heroes (coincidentally these games are all from the Dreamcast-Era).
- Green Hill Zone and Speed Highway reuses textures from Sonic Generations despite the game not being released on a Nintendo home console.
