Dr. Babble is one of the three bosses that appear in Sonic Prime Dash. He was added to the game in version v1.3.1.
Dr. Babble can be fought with any character, however he will only appear in New Yoke City. To trigger the battle, the player has to hit a Spring with a red screen and a black Dr. Babble symbol on it. A short while after the playable character lands on solid ground, Dr. Babble will appear in his mecha and hover on their left, introducing himself and starting the fight.
Boss guide[]
The boss battle is divided into three phases. During the first one, Dr. Babble will position his mecha behind the player and fire red orbs towards the playable character, which the player can avoid by making a well-timed jump or by moving to the sides. After firing a total of nine shots, Dr. Babble will proceed to the second phase of the fight, in which he will fly ahead of the player, from where he will drop Bombs, which resemble the baby rattle mace, on the road in different formations. Like with the missiles, the player can avoid the Bombs by moving to the sides or by jumping over them. Once the player approaches a section with three Springs, Dr. Babble will mock the player and fly away.
In the third phase, after touching the Springs, the playable character will be in the air, right behind Dr. Babble. The player then has to tap the green target reticles that appear, which will make their character attack Dr. Babble. After successfully landing three hits, Dr. Babble will be defeated and the player will receive points. If the player misses a hit though, the doctor will escape without the player receiving points.
Dr. Babble will get more aggressive the more the player progresses in a single run. The doctor will fire his orbs and Bombs at a much faster pace, and will even fire more of them over time, not giving the player much time to react. In the third phase, the green targets will move much faster, increasing the chance the player misses a hit. However, if Dr. Babble is successfully defeated, the player will be awarded more points.
