The Doughnut (often shortened to Donut) is a recurring object in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a consumable that is based off the actual dessert with the same name.

Doughnuts (referred to as Donuts) are available in Sonic Unleashed, where it can be purchased for fifty Rings at various Shops such as Josef's, Surfside Seagull Sundries and Wang's Emporium. It can be given to Chip to contribute to the "BFF's" or to Sonic for the "Hungry Hungry Hedgehog" Achievements/Trophies. When consumed by Sonic, it gives him twenty Exp.
