The Doughnut (ドーナッツ, Dōnattsu^?), also called the Donut, is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a consumable that is based off the actual dessert with the same name.

Doughnuts (referred to as Donuts) are available in the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed, where it can be purchased for fifty Rings at various Shops such as Josef's, Surfside Seagull Sundries and Wang's Emporium. It can be given to Chip to contribute to the "BFF's" or to Sonic for the "Hungry Hungry Hedgehog" Achievements/Trophies. When consumed by Sonic, it gives him twenty Exp.

In Sonic and the Black Knight, the Doughnut is one of the collectibles in the game. Its profile describes it as the crown of human achievement with addictive sweetness. In gameplay, the player can collect the Doughnut during different Missions in certain areas. For then to obtain it, the player must use the ID points earned from completing the Mission where the Doughnut was picked up to identify it on the identification screen.
