Donpa Motors[1] is a group mentioned in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an interplanetary company and the biggest automobile corporation in the universe. Its President is Dodon Pa, the king of a planet called Donpa Kingdom.[1]
History
Past
Under the leadership of Dodon Pa, who had devoted himself to the racing industry, Donpa Motors spent years working on developing new technologies for the purpose of universal peace.[2]
Team Sonic Racing
In Team Sonic Racing, Donpa Motors was on the verge of a breakthrough with the development of a top secret project of theirs: the Ultimate Energy Engine. A machine powered by the inherent strength of teamwork, the Ultimate Energy Engine could revolutionize transportation, fuel new industries, and reduce pollution.[2][3] For it to be finished though, they needed information on large amounts of Ultimate Team Energy.[4] Wanting to produce the best with the aid of the bests, Dodon Pa invited the best racers he could find across time and space to compete in a team-based Grand Prix of his instead of relying on Donpa Motors' staff and resources, but kept his motives hidden to perserve the project's secrecy.[3] He would then sent the information he gathered from the racers' teamwork to his research and development, who used it to work on the engine.[4]
