Don Fachio is a worldwide hot dog mega-franchise that appears in the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 version of Sonic Unleashed.

Description

The Don Fachio franchise has hot dog carts all around the globe, from the nearly inhospitable Holoskan tundra to the exotic and sandy savannahs of Mazuri. The Don Fachio franchise has even managed to set up a shop in the twisted amusement park of Eggmanland.

Overview

In the game, the player can find a Don Fachio hot dog stand in all of the game's Town Stages. There, the player can used their collected Rings to begin certain missions from the vendors with Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic the Werehog. If the player completes these missions, they will be rewarded with a special type of chili dog. Completing all the missions for a specific location will also unlock an achievement as well, if it hasn't been unlocked already.

Except for Eggmanland's location, each vendor offers five missions of three levels apiece: Three daytime missions, and two nighttime missions. The missions are:

• Time Trial: These missions are available to both Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Werehog. Here, the player must clear Act 1 of the stage within a set time limit.
• Battle Trial: These missions are available to only Sonic the Hedgehog. Here, the player must defeat a set number of enemies before reaching the goal in Act 1 of the stage.
• Ring Trial: These missions are available to only Sonic the Hedgehog. Here, the player must collect a certain number of Rings before reaching the goal in Act 1 of the stage.
• Survival Trial: These missions are available to only Sonic the Werehog. Here, the player must clear Act 1 of the stage with a set amount of health. No rings are available to recover health.

The chili dogs obtained from the Don Fachio stands are unique to each location in Sonic Unleashed. Upon eating them, Sonic gains seventy EXP points. The player can also give them to Chip, to which he has different, yet overall positive reactions.
